About the Role
As a Technical Product Owner at OSI, you'll be vital in driving measurable improvements in product decisions on a feature development team. You'll be responsible for defining and prioritizing product features, ensuring the development aligns with business goals. At a product level, this role will bridge communication between business stakeholders and the feature team, translate requirements into clear user stories, and manage the product backlog. At a technical level, you'll collaborate with developers on technical decisions, oversee the testing process with QA, and contribute to development actions. This person will represent OSI and their team to the client and reinforce our exceptional delivery model. Functions of the role include:
- Define and lead a product build in the healthcare tech space
- Translate needs into clear and actionable software requirements
- Create and maintain product backlog while prioritizing feature builds to enhance efficiency
- Collaborate with developers to ensure technical implementation aligns with guidelines, regulations, and healthcare standards - such as CPT, ICD-10, HL7, etc.
- Contribute to engineering functions such as code development, test automation development, data and insights analysis in SQL, CI/CD pipeline analysis, among other technical contributions
- Test and ensure developed solutions meet quiality standards and deliver against user stories and requirements
- Stakeholder liaison for continuous product refinement and development
- Communicate and align with clients and technical support to prioritize and fix software bugs
Qualifications & Requirements
Education and Experience level
- A bachelor’s degree in a technical field is preferred (or equivalent experience)
Location & Citizenship Requirements
As this will support a U.S.-based healthcare client, you must also meet the following criteria to be considered:
- Located in the U.S. and able to work full-time remotely (this team is distributed)
- Current U.S. citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) with no employment sponsorship needs.
Required Skills
- Solid understanding and usage of SQL queries and scripting
- Technical understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) software development lifecycle in an agile environment
- Ability to read/write OOP-based code and develop systems diagrams and technical documentation
- Familiarity with manual software testing
- Experience developing strong and actionable user stories from product requirements
- Excellent communication and an inquisitive approach
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment
Nice-to-have Traits
- Hospital/Healthcare Revenue Cycle experience
- Ability to read and write C#
- Experience with Angular.js and Javascript
- Experience with Microsoft TFS (Team Foundation Server)/Azure DevOps Server
- Scrum product owner experience
- Familiarity with automated software testing
- Willingness and ability to travel, including internationally, for a minimum of two weeks per year
- Multilingual
