VIZIO is pioneering big data products from Smart TV viewing data. We are actively looking for a smart, passionate, and tenacious Product Manager to play a key role in defining the next generation of data products based on TV viewing data. This position will be part of the Inscape product team. Inscape is an industry leader in automatic content recognition.
The perfect candidate must be innovative, experienced, and results oriented. You are willing to define requirements, communicate them, and drive the implementation of new capabilities, tools and documentation. You will need to understand customers, partners, and legal requirements; you will be synthesizing this understanding to build new product features for specific use cases. In this role, you will work directly with TV and chipset manufacturers to manage their expectations and delivery. You will also be working closely with the embedded engineering, data engineering, and data science teams, as well as other stakeholders in the company.
The position can be located in one of several offices (San Francisco, Fremont, Dallas, Denver, Irvine, New York).
What You Will Do:
• Write product requirements documents and use cases; ensure clear communication and coordination of requirements to the business, partner, and development teams.
• Contribute to the overall product portfolio roadmap, and manage prioritization and tradeoffs against development timeline, TV platform firmware release schedule, and time-to-market.
• Collect and synthesize inputs from customers, sales, and engineering to build business and product vision.
• Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and externally.
• Define key metrics & goals for the development teams and partner with the Dev, QA, and Program Leads to accomplish them.
• Manage external TV chipset vendor relationships.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure quality product output, timeliness, and market success.
• You have 2+ years product management experience working on low-level embedded systems.
• You have experience in Embedded Linux.
• You have experience integrating applications at Firmware level.
• You have experience working on products that use video technologies such as FFMPEG.
• You have knowledge in SQL, C and REST APIs.
• You have proven ability to ship highly complex products by working with internal engineering, cross-functional teams, as well as third-party vendors.
• You are very organized and rigorous in following up.
• You have a willingness and desire to roll up sleeves and get hands dirty.
• You have outstanding communication, presentation and writing skills.
• You are well-versed in creating product artifacts and requirement documentation.
• You have a computer science degree or equivalent.

For California-based employment: The minimum salary for this position is $104,000.00/year. The maximum salary for this position $134,000.00/year. In addition to base salary, the compensation package also includes eligibility for an annual bonus, as well as equity and a range of medical, dental, vision and other benefits.
For Colorado-based employment: The minimum salary for this position is $86,000.00/year. In addition to base salary, the compensation package also includes eligibility for an annual bonus, as well as equity and a range of medical, dental, vision and other benefits.
For New York-based employment: The minimum salary for this position is $96,000.00/year. The maximum salary for this position $124,000.00/year. In addition to base salary, the compensation package also includes eligibility for an annual bonus, as well as equity and a range of medical, dental, vision and other benefits.
