What We Are Looking For:
We are currently searching for a Technical Product Manager to oversee the direction and priorities for customer-facing facets of the Bandwidth API Experience including the Developer Experience (DevX), SDKs, and developer documentation.
What You'll Do:
- Oversee the end-to-end customer API journey, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define product strategies, features, and improvements.
- Create the initiatives, plan, & priorities for the Bandwidth API and Developer Experience.
- Focus on the interactions related to a product and service. Encompassing the quality, functionality, design, and usability of the product.
- Advocate for unified API-first design, using OpenAPI specifications with each product team within Bandwidth before, during, and after product design.
- Oversee all the potential interactions, including through the Bandwidth APIs, a customer will have with a product through each step of the customer journey
- Work with Sales & Market Offer teams on strategic accounts acting as a technical expert on all things Bandwidth API related.
- Define metrics through user acquisition, onboarding, product adoption, conversion, and retention.
- Accountable for API product experience outcomes—even though actual product experience strategies and implementation are cross-functional.
- Drive platform improvements from ideas into solutions that can be validated with potential customers including prototyping and strategic / technology descriptions.
- Focus on refining, through discovery, and API competitive analysis, to build solutions for One Bandwidth API strategy.
- Work closely with the Enterprise Architecture community to stay up to date with technologies and techniques that will move our business forward.
- Establish communication channels between technical teams and customer-facing teams to ensure accurate communications are delivered at the right time.
- Ensure customers have an exceptional user experience each time they interact with the product.
- Define tools for designing new APIs, including the pipeline for generating our API reference and SDKs.
What You Need:
- 6+ years of experience working in product / software design, software architecture, or in a solutions architect role.
- Computer Science background or equivalent technical experience
- Both a passion for and experience with consuming APIs, as well as building and shipping API platforms for developers..
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, structuring ambiguous concepts clearly and from first principles
