JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our client seeks a Technical Functional Analyst to join our CDC team, playing a crucial role in supporting the Public Health Information Network Vocabulary Access and Distribution System (PHIN VADS) and PHIN DIR project. In this role, you will work with the CDC customers to provide frontend and backend support for the proprietary application(s), and SSMS support across several databases and environments for multiple projects.
- Create/Update Queries, Scripts, and SPs.
- Solid understanding of all Operations and Maintenance activities.
- Troubleshooting with team members daily and resolving/supporting their activities.
- Resolving any data discrepancy issues for the projects with minimum supervision.
- Mid-tier level relationships between tables without having complete documentation
- Supporting large Excel file manipulations to sanitize content and file structures.
- Create and update SOP as required
- Create/Update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that describe in detail how each project work is performed.
- Deploy vocabulary content supporting proprietary application (UAF) for the PHIN VADS system
- Manage internal/external customer requests via mailboxes to keep track of work and follow SOPs
- A well-organized, goal-oriented, highly motivated, effective team member.
- Ability for critical thinking and analysis, good interpersonal and communication skills, and teamwork.
- Submit weekly status reports to the management on activities completed.
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or higher
- Must have 2 + Years of experience of T-SQL
- Must have 2 + Years of experience in SSMS, Import Export Data, and Bulk Insert
- Experience using MS Office products.
- Experience supporting web-based applications
- Preferred experience supporting ticketing systems like ServiceNow.
Required Skills
- Intermediate knowledge of writing complex queries in Transact-SQL, such as DML.
- Ability to provide support and collaborate with stakeholders to review business, technical, and data requirements and ensure data accuracy and quality
- Must be able to communicate with stakeholders and team effectively
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with MS SSMS
- Experience with the Service Now ticketing system or equivalent
