Our client, a privately held, stable, growing national importer and distributor, is hiring a full-time Technical Service & Support Representative for their office in the Western Suburbs of Chicago.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assisting with identifying the spare part(s) required by reviewing machine spare part schematics/drawings
- Requesting pricing & delivery time from our machine builders for non-stock items
- Providing spare part descriptions, prices, and costs so that item numbers can be created for non-stock items / new items
- Entering Quotations for spare parts into Sage
- Sending quotations to customers promptly
- Sending quote requests to our machine builders and following up on those requests
- Assisting with inbound phone calls for service–machine troubleshooting. This will involve taking down the customer’s information, machine model, and a brief description of the issue so that the call can be routed to the appropriate service engineer/technician.
- Managing the list of troubleshooting phone calls in Zoho.
- Working with our purchasing/inventory team to ensure we are stocking the proper spare parts and quantities.
- Preparing wear parts lists for our different saw models.
- Assisting with general customer service activities.
REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to read and understand mechanical blueprints and drawings.
- Strong communication skills
- Strong computer skills with above-average Excel skills.
- Strong Organizational skills – with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask
- Mechanical skills – the ability to use basic hand tools.
- Experience working in customer service or technical support for a machinery or industrial company
