Overview: Our client is looking for a Technical Business Systems Analyst for a HYBRID position based out of Richmond, VA.
Responsibilities:
- The successful candidate will be highly motivated with analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in a dynamic environment where multi-tasking and/or changing focus is often needed.
- Creating and updating system and project documentation.
- Assisting with system testing.
- Backing up team members as needed.
- Assisting with internally developed systems as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or related field.
- Associates degree or 5 years experience in an IT field.
- Detail oriented, with a technical aptitude.
- Well-developed analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects at any given point in time.
- Ability to switch focus from project to project or task to task at a moments notice.
- Proven experience in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements and use cases.
- Experience in creating comprehensive and clear documentation.
- Proficiency in modeling techniques, requirements gathering, and documentation.
- Ability to conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to elicit requirements.
- Experience in translating business requirements into detailed system specifications.
- Ability to create process flow diagrams, data flow diagrams, and other relevant documentation.
- Ability to plan, schedule and conduct meetings, as well as draft agendas and meeting minutes.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively with project managers and development teams.
- Familiarity with collaboration tools and project management software.
- Ability to interact and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management and staff.
- Ability to generate test cases for any phase, initial QA through UAT.
- Ability to perform system testing using test cases.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
- Understanding of the systems development life cycle (SDLC).
- Understanding of quality assurance processes and methodologies.
- Familiarity with project management concepts and practices.
- Preferred Technology knowledge: Microsoft Office, Visio, JIRA, SharePoint, Box, ServiceNow (System Admin).
