About the Job
- Technical Business Analyst will perform comprehensive data integrity assessments across different datasets and systems
- Conduct data cleaning activities to rectify inconsistencies, inaccuracies, and duplications
- Direct outreach to colleagues requesting they address data issues
- Develop and implement data quality rules, standards, and processes
- Work collaboratively with data owners, IT, and other stakeholders to align on data governance practices
- Utilize data analysis tools (i.e., Power BI) and techniques to identify patterns and trends
- As a Technical Business Analyst, you will document data quality issues and remediation actions taken
- Provide regular progress reports and data quality metrics to project leaders
- Support the development of automated data cleaning and validation scripts
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in data analysis, data management, or a related role
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience with data integrity and data cleaning processes
- Proficient in SQL and at least one programming language such as Python or R
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar
- Strong understanding of data governance and data quality management principles
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience managing multiple priorities
- Experience handling conflict and difficult situations
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex data issues to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for Data Integrity and Data Quality initiatives
- Certification in data management or data analysis (e.g., CDMP, CAP)
- Experience working in the energy sector or with energy-related data
- Knowledge of big data frameworks and technologies
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
