Position Summary | The University of New Mexico Information Technologies seeks a Technical Analyst 2 for UNM Valencia IT to play an integral role in the IT support operations of the UNM Valencia campus. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of Microsoft and/or Mac OS software and services along with experience supporting Active Directory Services, software distribution and remote system management. Applicants should have familiarity with common software products like the Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Creative Cloud. Note: The Valencia Campus is located in Los Lunas, NM. |

Minimum Qualifications | Bachelor's degree; at least 1 year of progressively responsible experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution and/or experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified may be interchangeable on a year-for-year basis. |
Preferred Qualifications | - Demonstrable understanding of automated computer configuration and management concepts and strategies - Experience with Microsoft Active Directory based services including centralized file share/printer management and automated system/application update solutions - Ability to analyze complex multi-system cross network problems from a centralized and user perspective and provide documented solutions - Ability to develop or edit scripts to automate tasks for departments and/or the university community - Understanding of application database systems and operations - Experience designing, operating and maintaining audio visual equipment in a classroom environment - Experience providing training to users in group and individual settings - Experience managing multifunction printers - Experience communicating technical solutions to non-technical people both verbally and in writing - Experience using centralized service management/support systems - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. |
