Job Duties and Responsibilities:Key Responsibilities
- Research accounting issues, including reviewing contracts to determine proper accounting treatment
- Prepare and review annual, quarterly, and ad hoc technical accounting memos
- Create models and analyses regarding technical accounting concepts, including revenue recognition and lease accounting
- Assist with SEC filings (Forms 10-K and 10-Q), as needed
- Maintain strong working knowledge of relevant US GAAP and SEC rules and regulations
- Monitor, assess and implement new accounting pronouncements applicable to the company and transactions
- Support ad hoc requests, as required
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting
- Masters degree preferred
- CPA preferred
- Minimum of 4-7 years of experience in accounting, including prior experience in public accounting
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial statements required; strong interest in technical US GAAP, including a solid foundation in accounting analysis and ability to read and understand US GAAP guidance
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Knowledge of financial concepts beyond accounting
- Knowledge of internal controls over financial reporting
- Ability to be detailed oriented while thinking strategically
- Ability to work in a fast paced and rapidly growing environment
- Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work with multiple employee groups, including the executive level
