Summary: This position will support internal and external financial reporting for Regal Cineworld Group (“Group”) and will play a crucial role in our Group finance function, ensuring the accurate and compliant application of U.S. GAAP accounting standards. This role offers a unique chance to be a key influencer during a period of meaningful change at a multi-billion-dollar global company that has recently started to report under U.S. GAAP in preparation for a U.S. listing. A candidate’s insights and expertise will play a pivotal role in shaping change within the Group finance team.
This position requires a deep understanding of technical accounting, financial reporting, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The role will be responsible for researching and resolving accounting issues, implementing new accounting standards, and providing technical guidance to support the financial success of the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
·Research technical accounting issues and clearly draft conclusions reached in accounting memos including responding to external auditor inquiries.
·Implement new accounting pronouncements and policies across the Group.
·Monitor, understand and provide interpretation of new and proposed accounting pronouncements in areas of focus to assist key stakeholders in assessing financial, operational and reporting implications.
·Interpret U.S. GAAP accounting standards and guidance to determine the accounting and financial reporting treatment for new, material, and/or complex, unusual transactions or agreements and collaborate with various departments to address accounting-related queries and provide guidance on financial transactions.
·Support the country finance functions with technical accounting challenges, including impairment analysis.
·Liaise with the external auditors during the interim and year-end financial statement audit.
·Assist with preparation and review of due diligence aspects for debt offerings, acquisitions and other transactions.
·Assist with preparation and review of quarter and year-end consolidated financial statements and related disclosures in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
·Review consolidated internal monthly financial reporting package presented to Executive Management and the Board of Directors.
·Assist with preparation of Audit Committee and Board materials
·Help develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance across the Group.
·Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to incorporate changes and conduct regular reviews of policies and procedures to ensure widespread compliance related to Sarbanes-Oxley.
·Participate in the training for finance and other relevant teams on accounting policies and procedures.
·Assist in the preparation of financial disclosures and footnotes for external reporting purposes.
·Other special projects as assigned

Professional Skills:
·Strong accounting background, ability to determine appropriate accounting treatment of new transaction types.
·In-depth understanding of U.S. GAAP accounting is required.
·Ability to apply concepts of accounting and to have a working knowledge of the use of technical accounting pronouncements/literature.
·Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
·Excellent communications skills.
·Proactive at developing strong working relationships across the business.
·Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management, as well as being proactive with responsibilities and issues.
·Strong organizational and project management skills. Advanced excel experience is preferred.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor or Master’s degree in Accounting. Experience with public accounting (“Big 4” preferred) and/or equivalent relevant private industry accounting (4-8 years related experience).
Prior experience working in a large to medium size global company and/or a Public Company experience is a plus.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
CPA required.
