Technical Accountant
6+Month Contract
Urbandale, IA (Onsite)

Primary Job Duties:

• Prepare consolidation processes, including financial statements (10%).
• Complete journal entries and associated documentation (40%).
• Assist in year-end audit preparations (10%).
• Handle sales and use tax returns for assigned entities, including reconciliations (20%).
• Utilize computer-based systems for reports, reconciliations, and journal entries (15%).
• Undertake special projects as required (5%).

• Maintain confidentiality of company information.
• Complete tasks within established time frames with a high degree of accuracy.
• Prepare reports with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Foster effective working relationships within the department and company.
• Consistently attend work and adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with relevant policies, codes, and regulations.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• Four or more years of accounting experience, emphasizing general ledger entry and reconciliation.
• Proficiency in applying generally accepted accounting principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Computer skills, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint; Oracle experience a plus.
• Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects.
