The Paid Social Team Manager role at Sokal requires someone analytical and adaptable with a desire to solve problems, improve products, and communicate our vision for paid social both internally and externally. Our team manages the implementation and optimization of paid social advertising, and this role will oversee that team with a focus on day-to-day tasks, product development, project management, and training the team. We love spreadsheets, data, new ideas, and making things better than we found them.
Basic Functions & Scope
As a Paid Social Team Manager, you will be leading a team of Paid Social Specialists (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok for all languages) and investing in their growth and development as specialists. You will be responsible for developing and implementing our Paid Social strategy in order to increase client campaign performance while maintaining a profitable department. You will also be working closely with multiple teams across the agency to ensure there’s quality, quantity and maximum growth. You will be responsible for using internal platforms to monitor timeliness campaign execution and to set processes to ensure campaign pacing is achieved.
Position Responsibilities
Leadership:
Improve or create new internal processes for the purposes of improving operations.
Invest in Paid Social team members, including but not limited to, team building exercises, personal training and development for employees, employee recognition initiatives, along with other opportunities for employee engagement
Perform performance reviews for team members along with Director of Digital and Strategic Marketing.
Monitor case/task load of team members and make adjustments as necessary
Manage queue workload and execution timelines.
Improve on current social media strategies in place.
Work with leadership to develop, test, and implement new product solutions and social media platforms.
Communication:
- Communicate clear instructions to team members
- Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture.
- Work to build morale within the team and foster positive relationships between team and other departments
Training:
- Discover training needs and provide support and training
- Check in with team members about difficulties and successes to ensure appropriate objectives are met
- Provide or ensure training for team on new products/initiatives
- Maintain knowledge of current and future trends and foster the education of the team
Agency Resource:
- Participate in agency meetings as needed
- Work with management when developing new products/initiatives
- Function as a knowledgeable resource for other departments
- Assist management with creating clear team goals/objectives/benchmarks

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equal years of experience to demonstrate the necessary competencies required for the position
- Strong analytical skills with extreme attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal skills with a keen ability to effectively and professionally communicate ideas to coworkers, other departments, and/or clients
- Ability to work on and manage projects from beginning to end, potentially demonstrating ahead of project deadlines
- Ability to understand and utilize software and platforms
- Flexibility to perform in a fluid environment with day-to-day or even hourly changes in priorities
- Proactive nature to think ahead of potential concerns for team or plan ahead for future updates and changes to technology and advertising strategies

Requirements:
2+ years of experience as a Paid Social Team Manager or similar role leading a team of Paid Social Specialists.
3+ years of experience in Paid Social Media with proven track record of driving engagement and conversions through paid social strategies
Excellent knowledge of Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Tiktok, and upcoming social media channels.
You are a master in understanding social media algorithms and how to optimize for reach, engagement, leads and revenue.
Strong analytical skills to interpret campaign performance data and optimize results
In-depth knowledge of internal processes and reporting dashboards
Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices in paid social media
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Strong time management skills and ability to work unsupervised.
Certifications in social media advertising platforms (e.g., Facebook Blueprint) a plus

Supervisory Responsibility
The Paid Social Team Directly reports to the Paid Social Manager.
Working Conditions
Team leads are seated for 6-8 hours per day, performing constant motions such as typing and using other computer equipment. Certain situations may require bending, squatting, or lifting objects that do not exceed more than 25lbs.
