Team Lead - Stainless Steel Fabrication - Rittal LLC

Primary Activities/Duties: 
•    Lead designated area/line to support production plan.
•    Ensure all operations are performed in a safe manner achieving a zero accident environment.
•    Meet/exceed all targets for quality, productivity, uptime on-time delivery and cost.
•    Drive continuous improvement to achieve a world class manufacturing environment through implementation          of Rittal Production System.
•    Cohesively work with peers.
•    Lead your team to execute production requirements to support schedule. 
•    Facilitate weekly RPS meetings and support all activities resulting from meetings.
•    Ensure work instructions are posted, employees are trained and execute to them.
•    Attend production, staff and project meetings as required. 
•    Actively participate in improving the Fabrication department. 
•    Actively engage with peers, supervisors and management in creation of a positive work place environment.
•    Ensure team members are meeting/exceeding expectations and achieving goals. 
•    Assist in providing an accurate and timely response to schedule inquiries.
•    Continuously improve your own skills and competencies. 
•    Drive 6S activities. 
•    All other duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Experience: 
•    HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred. 
•    Must have excellent communication skills and previous supervisory experience. 
•    Must have an understanding of Six Sigma & Lean methodology and a thorough knowledge of sheet metal           fabrication. 
•    Must be computer literate with a working knowledge of all Microsoft products. 
•    Understanding of MRP/ERP systems is preferred.
