Position Title: Catering Team Lead
Reports to: Executive Director of Sales and Brand Growth
Department: Outside Sales
Position Summary
The Catering Team Lead will coordinate the catering team, both pickup and delivery to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. The Catering Team Lead will also maintain the high-quality standards Chick-fil-A St. Joseph is known for to both execute and grow restaurant catering sales. The Catering Team Lead will work in partnership with Back of House (Kitchen) and Management to ensure production meets the demands of the business at all times, meets quality requirements, and prioritizes Food Safety.
Key Expectations
- Support and influence the restaurant’s overall operational and financial goals.
- Identifying catering opportunities and follow up on opportunities through phone calls, emails, and visits to potential catering guests.
- Creating and managing a database of catering guests along with forms and training for taking orders.
- Train and manage The Catering Team. Including AM/PM team that can execute responsibilities given.
- Ensure order accuracy, on-time deliveries, consistency with tax exempt and non-profit discounts, and payment methods
- Be teachable and accountable to feedback and coaching from Directors, Executive Directors, and Owner/Operator.
- Schedule shifts and assign deliveries to drivers and Catering Team efficiently.
- Monitor Driver and Team Members performance, provide feedback, and implement performance improvement plans as needed.
- Following up with guests for feedback on how to improve our services and better anticipate what catering guests needs are.
- Provide unforgettable hospitality within and beyond our restaurant.
- Being faithful to the execution of tasks assigned by Directors, Executive Directors, and Owner/Operator.
- Have open availability, Catering Team Lead is responsible for getting the job done.
- Bi-Monthly "Surprise and Delight” deliveries to help promote outside sales growth.
- Knowledgeable about Front and Back of House operations to fill in where needed during slow catering times.
- Support all outside sales including “Serve Only” Trailer and other Square Sales events.
- Keeping catering area clean and organized.
- Organize “Go To” people for big clients and companies to help promote sales and hospitality.
