Teaching Assistant for young adults with disabilities at Northwest's Child Inc

We are looking for a compassionate, enthusiastic individual (Male or Female) to serve as Teaching Assistant to work with small group of young adults with disabilities in non profit, year round agency. positions available: .FULL TIME Monday through Friday. Signing bonus, (half upon first paycheck and half after 6 months of employment).

Shoreline - working with young adults with moderate to severe disabilities. IMMEDIATE OPENING (medical/dental benefits included)

Shoreline site : We are looking for people who have a great sense of responsibility, an interest in working to make a positive impact in their community, want to make a difference in peoples' lives and the ability to work independently as well as with a team. Our Shoreline program works with 8 students who are 21 yrs and up, who have moderate to severe disabilities. You will be a part of the a progressive program that creates opportunities for personal growth and success for these wonderful students as well as building relationships with the public through field trips, vocational opportunities and integrated activities. Job Requirements/Training: Must be 18 yrs or older. Experience and/or education in the field of special education is a plus, however, we will train you. Must have CNA or HCA. These positions require self-motivation and team spirit. Have reliable transportation to and from work. Other important elements are a good work ethic, a good sense of humor, an ability to work well with other staff and the public, take direction from lead staff, have common sense, a self-initiating/independent nature and willingness; ability to work with people with disabilities. (i.e., CPR, First Aid, HIV/Aids, TB test) The rest, we will teach you. This is a long term position.
