The Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan is looking for an educator to teach the 6th-7th grade students who are part of Jewish Journeys, our B-Mitzvah program, for 2022-2023. This individual will assume the role of an expanded teacher role for these students and families. Will have administrative support. Must have experience and a love for teaching middle school students and be available to teach Monday-Thursday afternoons beginning in the fall in person. This educator would teach four separate classes and work with families. It is not a BM tutoring position. Salary range $20K - $24K for this 9-month position.

Minimum Qualifications:- Prior classroom experience teaching middle school students
- An innovative approach to teach Jewish content
- Ability and willingness to work with the students and parents as they approach bar/bat mitzvah
- Interest in working with unaffiliated families with little to no prior knowledge
- Availability to teach in-person four afternoons: Monday - Thursday beginning in September 2022
