We are looking to hire a Head Start Teacher Floater to join or team and support a dynamic learning environment in our Gloucester location.
The Teacher Floater in our Head Start program is assigned to assist a classroom in administering a safe and developmentally appropriate curriculum. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of child development and a background in early childhood education as well as experience working with young children. $19.50-$21.90 per hour to start depending on Education, Credentials and Experience. 52 weeks per year 37.5 hours per week in our Gloucester location
WHAT WILL YOU DO AS A TEACHER FLOATER IN HEAD START?
Assist with the activities of the children in the classroom and on the playground
Assist with the implementation of the curriculum and school readiness goals
Provide appropriate supervision of children to ensure a safe and clean environment
Participate in training opportunities and attend required meetings
Respect co-workers and families and maintain confidentiality
Bend and lift to assist children and perform duties
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BE A FLOATER?
CDA Credential or EEC Preschool Teacher certification preferred
Minimum of 9 months experience working with children 2.9-5 years old
Must be 18 years old or older High School Diploma or equivalent
Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the role
Must comply with all state and federal vaccine mandates
Must complete and satisfy background check protocols
