A bit about us: Dance To EvOLvE is unique as a mobile dance company as we don't have one traditional studio. Through our great teachers, we offer high quality classes in recreation centers, schools and other venues, specializing in ages 2-12 years in San Diego, Chicago and Cleveland. We are a team that loves what we do! We have been evolving children through dance since 2008, and we need someone to help us continue to grow! (P.S. We have dance parties in team meetings.)
A bit about the role: This role is based in San Diego, our largest division of the company.
- Recruiting, evaluating and hiring new teachers in all 3 cities
- Main point of contact for San Diego teachers
- Responsible for staffing all classes and programming, including substitutes and teacher assistants
- Mentor teachers in professional growth to ensure we are offering the best programming
- Ensuring completion of compliance paperwork
- Approving teachers' invoices
- Restocking supplies at sites
- Teaching regular classes and as a substitute when needed
- Support the Education and Teacher Coordinator in:
- Curriculum development
- New teacher initiatives
- Creating weekly communication emails to teachers
- Onboarding of new San Diego teachers
- Logistics of in-person teacher trainings and socials
- Supplies for all teachers
- Training of all teacher assistants
- Event Planning
- Teacher support in choreography and recital preparation
- Support recital logistics
- Administrative support as needed.
(Yeah, this section got a bit more serious, but we are also hard workers who want to expand this company.)

- Enjoy working within a small team where you will have a true input on the business and your ideas and opinions are welcomed and encouraged.
- Full-time position that includes teaching hours
- Appropriate flexibility with a work from home schedule
- Teaching hours will include mid-week early evenings and some Saturday mornings

- Located in San Diego (no re-location included)
What are we looking for in a candidate?
- A love of the arts and a business background
- Good balance between a logical and creative thinker
- Teaching experience in ballet, tap, and hip hop (or the potential to learn one of those styles)
- Must love kiddos!
- Supervisor or management experience is a plus.
- Very professional yet friendly. Great at creating relationships with teachers and customers.
- Extremely organized and efficient as to be detail oriented!
- Quick on your feet (pun intended)...it's a fun and fast past environment.
- Must be a team player...Huge!
- Trustworthy as there is a lot of freedom in role
- Self-accountable
- Motivated to develop and grow role and company
- Someone who enjoys some of their days to be out and about, busy, and interacting with the public and other days to be desk-orientated
- College degree
- Proficient with Word, Excel, Mac, Internet and ability to learn database
