Taxation Analyst Opening in the New Have, Connecticut area. This is a fully remote position!
The Taxation Analyst coordinates and provides timely input for tax and regulatory filing efforts, focusing on U.S., Puerto Rico, and Canada. This role ensures compliance by preparing necessary tax documentation, responding to inquiries, and analyzing client transactions related to life and annuity products. The analyst will also monitor system data for accuracy, collaborate with the Legal Department to maintain procedural compliance, and identify opportunities for process improvements.

The analyst will also monitor system data for accuracy, collaborate with the Legal Department to maintain procedural compliance, and identify opportunities for process improvements.
Core Responsibilities:
- Analyze policyholder inquiries related to taxable events and prepare detailed responses.
- Prepare annual policy notifications, tax forms, notices, and correspondence.
- Monitor and ensure regulatory compliance in system and user data, escalating issues as needed.
- Work with Legal to implement procedural changes based on legal guidance.
- Identify and recommend system enhancements to improve efficiency.
- Knowledge of insurance products and tax laws related to annuities.
- Strong analytical, communication, and business analysis skills.
- Experience with Ingenium, Life70, IDM, AWD, Microsoft Office.
- 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience.
- BS or BA degree required.
