Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation and review of federal and state tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to clients, helping them optimize their tax positions and minimize liabilities.
- Manage and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance on technical tax issues and fostering professional development.
- Coordinate with clients to gather necessary documentation and information for tax compliance and planning purposes.
- Stay updated on tax law changes and industry trends, communicating relevant information and strategies to clients and team members.
Must-Have Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax compliance and advisory services.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations, along with proficiency in tax software and research tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and lead a team effectively.
