We are seeking a motivated Tax Staff Accountant with 2-3 years of public accounting experience to join our dynamic tax team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in tax compliance and a passion for helping clients navigate complex tax regulations.

Responsibilities:
- Preparation of federal and state tax returns
- Interaction with clients to discuss tax issues and new tax service opportunities
- Coordination of client services
- Collaborate with senior staff on tax planning and strategy development
- Communicate effectively with clients to address inquiries and provide support
- Assist in special projects and other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in accounting (a master's of tax is a plus) with 2-3 years of public accounting experience, including working with a variety of federal and multi-state tax returns for small to medium size businesses and their owners
- A CPA license or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam
- Proficient accounting skills
- Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills -- Excel, Word and Outlook
- QuickBooks experience a plus
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to enable effective interaction with all levels of personnel
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Superior analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to provide exceptional client service through a sense of urgency and commitment to quality
- Appropriate ethical behavior through extraordinary confidentiality, integrity, and professional conduct
- Ability to work effectively both within a team environment and independently
- An attitude of continuous improvement

Work Environment Overview
The position is full time M-F.
Casual but professional office environment, work/life integration, client contact, award winning culture. "Colorado Casual" dress code.
Annual base compensation: $70k-$80k with eligibility for performance bonuses.
