We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Tax Senior to join our fast-paced financial team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing tax services to our clients, which include some of the most prestigious firms in the real estate industry. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to work on complex tax issues for C corporations, S corporations, and partnerships.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for C corporations, S corporations, and partnerships.
- Conduct tax research to stay updated on current tax laws and regulations.
- Analyze financial statements and reports for tax planning purposes.
- Provide tax advisory services to clients, including advising on the tax implications of business decisions.
- Collaborate with other members of the tax team to ensure the accuracy and completeness of tax data.
- Assist in the development of tax strategies and solutions to minimize tax liabilities.
- Participate in client meetings and contribute to the development of client relationships.
- Help in managing IRS audits and responding to IRS notices.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a tax role, preferably in the finance industry.
- At least 2 years of experience in public accounting.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in dealing with tax issues related to real estate, C corporations, S corporations, and partnerships.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or Master's degree in Taxation is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work output.
- Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated commitment to staying updated on current tax laws and regulations.
