Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

Tax Preparation and Review: Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts. Ensure accuracy and compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
Client Consultation: Provide tax planning and advisory services to clients. Develop strategies to minimize tax liabilities and advise clients on the tax implications of business decisions.
Research: Conduct detailed tax research on various topics and stay updated with changes in tax legislation. Interpret and apply tax laws and regulations to client situations.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including junior staff, to ensure high-quality service delivery. Mentor and assist in the training of junior tax staff.
Audit Assistance: Assist in federal and state tax audits, including preparing responses and supporting documentation.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve tax processes and procedures within the firm.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field. A Master’s degree in Taxation or a CPA certification is highly preferred.
At least 3-5 years of tax experience in a public accounting or similar environment.
Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
