The Tax Senior Associate is a key contributor in a dynamic accounting team, focusing on advanced tax returns, client advisory, and mentorship. This role offers opportunities to grow professionally and contribute to the firm's overall development, with a pathway to becoming a firm principal.
Key Responsibilities
- Tax Preparation: Prepare complex tax returns with minimal supervision.
- Client Advisory: Develop an understanding of clients' businesses to identify opportunities and propose solutions.
- Mentorship: Coach junior associates on technical skills and processes.
- Firm Contributions: Participate in firm knowledge building, recruiting efforts, and proposal development.
- Technical Research: Support leadership with tax research for marketing and business initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of federal tax laws.
- Excellent communication and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with a strong sense of accountability.
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Experience & Education:
- 2+ years of tax experience, preferably in a small to mid- tier public accounting firm.
- CPA designation (preferred) or in the process.
