Our organization is seeking an experienced Tax Senior or Tax Supervisor to join our dynamic Accounting and Finance team. This is a permanent position that will require the successful candidate to oversee all aspects of tax preparation and income tax return. The candidate will also be responsible for providing comprehensive tax solutions to our corporate clients. Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
1. Oversee and manage all aspects of tax preparation, including federal and state income tax returns for our corporate clients.
2. Provide strategic tax planning and consulting to our clients, while ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
3. Research and analyze changes in tax legislation and advise clients on the impact of such changes on their business operations and financial planning.
4. Collaborate with other members of the finance team to streamline tax processes and improve efficiencies.
5. Review financial data for accuracy and ensure that all tax-related documentation is correctly prepared and maintained.
6. Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax forecasts.
7. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the tax team.
8. Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities as required.
9. Continuously update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining personal networks.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong focus on corporate tax and income tax return preparation.
2. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or EA designation is preferred.
3. In-depth knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients and other stakeholders.
6. Proficient in tax preparation software and other relevant computer applications.
7. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
8. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
