Tax Senior - Kforce Inc

Responsibilities

Kforce's client, a long-standing, well-respected New York City, NY based CPA firm (approximately 35 professionals) is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to assume a prominent role in their growing tax department. Responsibilities:

• Prepare tax returns including (1040's, 1120, 1120s, 1065, 1041 and 709) returns for final review by a partner
• Interact with clients, supervise, develop, and train tax staff
• Perform research using CCH, BNA, and RIA
  
  

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting and/or advanced MS degree in Taxation CPA preferred
• 3+ years of tax preparation experience in a small to medium CPA firm
• Experience and/or willingness to work in a paperless environment
• Proficiency with Excel and Word and QuickBooks
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and exercise professional judgment while applying proficiencies of a trained accountant
• Familiarity with ProSystem FX a plus
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
