Our Tax practice seeks a professional with technical tax advisory experience supporting large, multinational corporations and SEC registrants to join our Manufacturing and Distribution (M&D) Tax team as a Senior Manager. This role will focus on providing tax planning, consulting, and compliance activities to clients in the manufacturing, retail and distribution industries.
T he preferred location for the position is in our Los Angeles office. However, t his is a national practice, and the position can also take place in our Dallas, Chicago or New York offices : in office or hybrid.
What You Will Do:
Lead the implementation and overall planning and execution of client engagements and office initiatives for the Chicago and/or Dallas Tax practice
Provide sophisticated tax compliance, provision and advisory services to partnerships, corporations, and S-corporations clients
Oversee the review of client tax returns, provisions, and consulting projects
Use technical skills and knowledge to research and provide solutions to tax matters impacting our clients federal, state, and local tax projects
Communicate with the IRS, and other tax authorities on behalf of clients' tax matters and serve as a client representative for any tax-related audit
Supervise, evaluate, mentor, and assist in the professional development of other tax staff members
Provide firm leadership and client management with updates on engagement progress, and any discoveries that impact budget and completion
Continuously develop and maintain strong client relationships throughout the year
Take a lead role in client proposals and new business development opportunities, and look for opportunities to cross-sell firm services
Stay current on technical and industry standards and developments that may impact clients' businesses
Develop a network of trusted advisors whose expertise add value to services performed for our clients
What We Seek:
Years+ experience required : 10+ years of relevant tax compliance experience gained in a CPA firm, a professional services firm, or tax consulting practice
Education required : Bachelor of Science degree in accounting or business-related field required , a n advanced tax degree (MST, JD, LLM) preferred
Certification require d/ preferred : CPA license is required
Strong tax compliance, analysis, and tax research experience
Advanced knowledge on tax matters and issues that impact large corporations, multinational companies, and SEC registrants
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite tools and various tax compliance software tools
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)
Ability to travel to client locations as needed

The salary range for this role takes into account many factors including, but not limited to, years and type of experience, skill sets, and certifications. The projected salary range for this position is $138,000 - $301,000 .
