Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review complex individual, corporate, partnership, and other tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state laws.
- Conduct tax research and provide innovative tax planning and consulting services to a diverse client base.
- Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities, effectively resolving tax disputes and notices.
- Collaborate with and mentor junior staff, overseeing their work on tax projects and contributing to their professional development.
- Maintain and build client relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
- Stay current with tax laws and regulations, and inform both clients and team members of relevant changes and implications.
- Assist in managing engagement workflows, deadlines, and budgets, ensuring efficient operation of the tax services team.
- Contribute to the firm’s business development efforts by identifying opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients and cultivating relationships with potential new clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax services.
- Strong technical skills in tax compliance and proficiency in tax software and technology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to articulate complex tax concepts to clients and team members.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
- A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
