We are looking for an experienced Permanent Tax Senior to join our dynamic finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a background in tax accounting who is ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients, providing innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Tax Senior, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including:
1. Preparing and reviewing complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
2. Providing tax planning and consulting to our corporate and individual clients.
3. Conducting research to find solutions to complex tax issues.
4. Building and maintaining relationships with clients, providing exceptional client service.
5. Supervising and mentoring junior staff and interns on tax projects.
6. Collaborating with team members to provide high-quality tax services.
7. Keeping up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax law.
8. Assisting in the development of firm tax policy and procedures.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. A Master's degree in Taxation is highly preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in public accounting or corporate/public blend.
3. CPA certification or progress towards completion.
4. Proficiency in Tax software, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
5. Strong technical skills in accounting and tax preparation, review experience a plus.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, deadlines, and budgets.
8. Proven leadership skills demonstrating strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
9. Experience with a diverse set of clients ranging from startups to mature businesses.
