Position Overview

The Tax Senior will play a critical role in our tax department by overseeing the preparation and review of tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal and state tax laws, and providing strategic tax planning advice to clients. This position requires a strong foundation in tax accounting and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses (Corporate, Partnership, Individual, and Trust)
• Conduct tax research and analysis to stay current on changes in tax laws and regulations
• Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients
• Assist in managing client relationships and communicating tax-related issues effectively
• Mentor and train junior staff members in tax preparation and compliance processes
• Evaluate and implement tax strategies to maximize client benefits and minimize liabilities
• Ensure adherence to deadlines and maintain high-quality standards in all tax-related work
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification preferred
• 3+ years of experience in tax preparation in a public accounting environment
• Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
