Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations.
- Provide tax planning and advisory services to clients to optimize their tax positions.
- Assist clients with tax strategies and long-term tax planning.
- Identify tax savings opportunities for clients.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a primary point of contact for tax-related matters.
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and resolve tax-related queries.
- Conduct in-depth research on complex tax issues.
- Analyze tax implications of various financial transactions and provide recommendations.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and support.
- Assist in staff training and professional development.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of tax workpapers, calculations, and correspondence.
- Generate reports and summaries for clients and internal use.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is highly preferred.
- 3-5 years of relevant tax experience in public accounting or a similar setting.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
