We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Tax Senior Associate to join our Trust & Estate Tax team within our National Tax group.  The Tax Senior Associate will work with our Trust and Estate clients and may have other opportunities to assist with 1040/1041 work as well. This position offers opportunity for advancement and growth while being a trusted resource internally!

CohnReznick is a hybrid firm and most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered remote which means it does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a CohnReznick office location. However, as a remote employee, you may be required to be present at a CohnReznick office with scheduled notice for client work, team meetings, or trainings.

This position is situated within our National Tax Team and will focus on Trust & Estate work, along with the potential to help with 1040/1041 work as well.  You will partner with other technical experts within the tax field and have the opportunity to learn and develop at a rapid pace!

 YOUR ROLE.   

Responsibilities include but not limited to:  

• Review gift, estate and fiduciary income tax returns for the T&E Group.
• Handle 1040/1041 returns as needed.
• Review fiduciary accounting for trusts and estates.
• Provide tax planning and consulting to high net worth clients for estate and individual income taxes.
• Have responsibility for managing all aspects of client relationships.
• Manage a team of professionals within the group to complete engagements from start to finish.

YOUR EXPERIENCE.   

The successful candidate will have:  

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's in Tax is a plus
• CPA, EA, LLM, or JD is preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive tax experience with trusts and estates, as well as high net worth clients
• Strong tax research skills
• Excellent communication and presentation (verbal and written) skills

In Illinois, the salary range for a Senior Tax Associate is $80,000.00 to $120,000.00. Salary determination will vary based on factors such as a candidate’s geographical location, qualifications, experience, skills, and competencies.
