Tatum by Randstad is presently conducting a search for a Tax & Reporting Manager for a well-established, rapidly growing, fast-paced PE Firm based in Irvine. This is a newly created role that will report to the Director, Tax. This is a hybrid opportunity with excellent benefits.

responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities in this role will include:

• Work with external tax accountants to review and file federal, state, and other returns
• Liaise with Director of Tax and external Fund Administrator to perform tax withholding analysis on distributions
• Collaborate with the Investor Relations team to address investor-related tax questions
• Review taxable income estimates and review tax distribution calculations
• Ensure compliance with FATCA, CRS, and other tax regulatory regimes
• Receive, assess, and process federal and state tax regulatory notices
• Work with Fund and external tax accountants to report annual 1099s and 1042s
• Review projection and annual Schedule K-1s/tax returns with Director of Tax for reporting accuracy before disseminating and filing
• Developing and maintaining tax plans, compliance procedures and risk assessment frameworks, to ensure effective tax management.
• Managing and overseeing the filing of regular tax returns, including income tax and other direct or indirect taxes.
• Collaborating Director of Tax to ensure our tax strategies and policies are implemented accurately
• Identifying, tracking and reporting any potential financial risks or issues and working closely with Director of Tax and the accounting teams to implement appropriate solutions
• Maintain recordkeeping and documentation of tax filings in accordance with tax policy

 
qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, MS in Tax or a CPA preferred
• 4+ years of income tax compliance and financial reporting experience with a combination of large public accounting firm and private equity internal tax department
• Experience managing relationships with external advisors
• Ability to prioritize and communicate workloads to ensure tasks are completed timely
• Organized, detailed, proactive, self-motivated, collaborative, multi-tasker, and creative
• Experience/familiarity with with Slack, Excel, Microsoft products
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
