We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tax Professional for a law firm servicing high net worth clients and individuals. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment and has a passion for working with numbers. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns for individuals, trusts, and partnerships, with a particular focus on high net worth clients. This role requires a deep understanding of tax laws and regulations, excellent analytical skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, trusts, and partnerships, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws and regulations.
2. Provide tax planning and consultation services to high net worth clients, helping them to optimize their tax positions and achieve their financial goals.
3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using bookkeeping software and systems.
4. Liaise with the Internal Revenue Service and other regulatory bodies on behalf of clients, handling any issues or queries that arise.
5. Stay abreast of the latest developments in tax laws and regulations, and communicate these changes to clients and colleagues.
6. Work closely with other members of the tax team to deliver high-quality services to clients, meeting deadlines and exceeding expectations.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
2. Minimum of 1-10 years of experience in tax preparation, with a focus on high net worth individuals, trusts, and partnerships.
3. Proven experience with tax software such as CCH Access.
4. Excellent knowledge of tax laws and regulations, with a particular focus on those relating to trusts, high net worth individuals, and partnerships.
5. Strong bookkeeping skills, with the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide insightful solutions.
7. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
8. High level of professionalism and integrity, with the ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
9. Ability to work well under pressure, managing multiple tasks and meeting tight deadlines.
