As a Permanent Tax Preparer, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Preparing and reviewing federal and state income tax returns for individuals, businesses, and organizations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws and regulations.
2. Analyzing financial documents and records to determine the appropriate tax treatment of income and expenses.
3. Assisting clients in understanding their tax liabilities and providing advice on tax planning and potential tax savings strategies.
4. Researching and staying up-to-date with the latest tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and maximize client benefits.
5. Working closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and record-keeping.
6. Resolving client inquiries and issues related to tax preparation in a professional and timely manner.
7. Assisting with tax audits and tax planning, as required.
8. Maintaining strict confidentiality of all client information.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Tax Preparer role will have the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of two years of experience in tax preparation and accounting.
2. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3. Proficiency with tax preparation software and a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.
4. Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
5. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
6. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax information to clients in a clear and understandable manner.
7. A commitment to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism.
8. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification is preferred but not required.
