A skilled and seasoned accounting professional ready to take on a diverse range of partnership and tax responsibilities. We value team players who bring experience, motivation, and a knack for providing insightful solutions. In this role, you will oversee a dynamic tax and partnership team consisting of three dedicated professionals.
DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee all facets of our organization's partnership accounting and tax functions, including international tax matters.
Serve as the go-to expert for tax knowledge and information within the organization, acting as the primary liaison with external tax and consulting entities.
Efficiently manage the annual process for compiling information for the 1065 filing and federal and state K-1’s, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
Foster effective communication with partners and finance management, addressing firm tax concerns.
Navigate and supervise all tax audit processes, engaging with state and local tax auditors.
Take charge of the budget for tax expense line items, ensuring fiscal responsibility.
Tackle special projects and handle ad hoc requests with diligence and efficiency.
YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business with a focus on Accounting.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in public/corporate/partnership tax.
Preferably, experience in law firm partnership or professional services partnership.
Essential international tax experience.
A minimum of 5 years in a managerial capacity.
Proficiency in relevant software programs such as Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint; adaptability to learn new software and operating systems.
Strong technological acumen, with a preference for familiarity with Elite Enterprise financial system or similar legal/professional services systems.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proactive approach to issue identification and solution provision.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Capability to handle sensitive matters with discretion.
Ability to manage multiple assignments and adapt to shifting priorities.
Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
Comfort working in a demanding and fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Demonstrated commitment to the quality of the finished product.
Strong problem-solving skills.
