About the Job
- Assists the firms partners with all tasks including reviewing and evaluating internal business procedures, and implementing improvements that enhance day-to-day operations for the tax department
- Oversee tax administrative functions to ensure efficient and consistent operations in the tax department
- Work with local tax service line and niche leaders on economics of their offices/niches
- Oversee monthly billing and collection initiatives, including direct conversations with partners/directors responsible for billing
- Manage workflows efficiently with minimal involvement from managers, ensuring smooth operations and timely project delivery
- Partner with senior tax leadership to help streamline and automate processes, where needed
- Participate in and lead ad hoc special projects related to client economics including annual client continuance meetings
- Coordinates with other support business functions such as human resources, finance, and administrative teams to ensure successful execution of tax service line operations
- Observes, reviews, and executes processes to provide recommendations on inefficiencies and areas where improvements can be made
- Assist with the overall operations of the tax department including project scheduling, resource planning, deadline management, and team support
- Other projects as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Management, Business Administration or related field required
- 6+ years of experience within a tax operations or tax administrative services role
- Experience within a public accounting firm
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
- High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential information; This position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy
- Strong attention to detail with precise follow-through
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
