The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, equipped with a deep understanding of tax laws and regulations. This role will be instrumental in handling tax matters related to company operations and ensuring compliance with all tax regulations.

1. Oversee and manage the company's tax planning, ensuring compliance with local, state, federal, and international tax laws.
2. Prepare and review tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
3. Conduct thorough tax research to stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations that could impact the company.
4. Provide expert tax advice to company leadership, making recommendations to strategically reduce tax liabilities and risks.
5. Coordinate audits by various taxation authorities, representing the company during tax audits and disputes.
6. Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.
7. Manage and facilitate IRS income tax audits: preparing responses, creating schedules, etc.
8. Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management and the tax team.
9. Evaluate tax effects of company activities and develop strategies to minimize tax liability.
Job Details
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree in Taxation or a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax manager or public accountant role.
3. Extensive knowledge of tax laws, compliance regulations, and tax planning.
4. Proven experience in preparing and reviewing tax returns.
5. Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to interpret tax laws and regulations.
6. Excellent advisory and consultative skills, with a proven track record of providing strategic tax advice.
7. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax matters in a clear and concise manner.
8. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
9. Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
10. Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team.
