Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Manager to join our dynamic team. The Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of tax planning, compliance, and consulting services for our clients. This role requires a deep understanding of tax laws and regulations, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of tax professionals, providing guidance, training, and mentorship as needed.
Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize clients' tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Review and sign off on complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities.
Conduct research on various tax issues and provide expert advice and recommendations to clients.
Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders to address tax-related matters and deliver timely solutions.
Stay updated on changes in tax laws, regulations, and industry trends, and assess their impact on clients' financial situations.
Assist with business development efforts, including identifying opportunities for new client engagements and fostering relationships with existing clients.
Collaborate with other departments within the firm, such as audit and advisory services, to provide comprehensive solutions to clients' financial needs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA or other relevant certification preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax services.
Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
Proven leadership abilities, with experience managing and developing a team of professionals.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and colleagues.
Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards and maintaining client confidentiality.
