Tax Manager - Mahoney | CPAs and Advisors

Our Real Estate Solutions Team provides accounting, tax, and consulting services to commercial and residential real estate developers; particularly those who utilize low-income housing, historic rehabilitation, or renewable energy tax credits to finance their projects.

As a Tax Manager with the Mahoney Real Estate Solutions Team, you will assume a pivotal role in providing a variety of tax and accounting functions for clients, including:

• Review and sign partnership tax returns
• Prepare and review Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) and Historic Tax Credit (HTC) cost certifications and financial projections for low-income housing, historic rehabilitation, and other real estate projects
• Proficiently identify, address, and resolve intricate tax challenges, while researching complex issues and providing well-informed solutions
• Utilize strong interpersonal skills to deliver expert real estate consulting services and innovative solutions for projects
• Foster long-lasting client relationships across the entire project lifecycle, from pre-development through successful exit strategies
• Consistently provide effective communication across organization levels internally and with various clients
• Lead, manage, and develop staff while sustaining a dynamic team environment

Our preferred candidates will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; a Master of Business Taxation is a plus
• CPA license and 5+ years of experience in public accounting, specializing in preparing and reviewing partnership tax returns
• Experience in Real Estate, Low Income Housing Tax Credits, and Historic Tax Credits is a plus
• Prior experience with CCH software products (Axcess Tax, Engagement, Document) is a plus

We offer a competitive base pay range of $90,000 to $115,000 per year. During busy season, most accountants work 60+ hour weeks.
