Job Details
We are seeking a highly motivated Tax Manager to join our tax team. The Tax Manager will be responsible for managing and executing tax compliance and planning projects for clients, and supervising and mentoring junior tax staff.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage tax compliance and planning projects which could include individuals, S corporations, partnerships, trusts and estates, to encompass federal and state return preparation, review, projections and estimated tax calculations.
Researching and interpreting tax laws and regulations, and provide recommendations and solutions to clients on tax planning and compliance issues
Build and maintain relationships with clients, providing timely, high-quality responses
Providing guidance and feedback to staff on technical matters, which may include general accounting, payroll, and local taxes
Desired Candidate:
At least 6 years of recent experience in a public accounting firm working with Individuals, partnerships, S-corporations in tax compliance and advising
Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations, and desire to continuously improve and expand tax knowledge and skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Tax, or related field; Current CPA license
Capability to work in a paperless environment with diligence and attention to detail
Working knowledge in QuickBooks
