Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
- Tax Return Preparation: Oversee and prepare approximately 200 tax returns annually, predominantly Form 1040s and 1041s, with a handful of Form 1065s.
- Business Development: Spearhead the growth and development of our tax business by attracting and retaining new business clients requiring accounting services.
- Operational Leadership: Be responsible for the profitability of the tax division, with the opportunity to share in its profit as it grows.
- Client Meetings: Collaborate closely with wealth management advisors and clients, ensuring a holistic approach to financial management and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Tax Projections: Assist wealth management clients with tax projections throughout the year, helping them understand potential tax liabilities and strategies for optimization.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A CPA designation is a strong advantage.
- Proven experience in tax return preparation, preferably with a focus on Forms 1040, 1041, and 1065.
- Strong analytical, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly to clients.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with an interest in growing and leading a business division.
