We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Tax Manager to join our thriving Tax team. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of the tax landscape and a proven track record in managing complex tax matters. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in our organization, where you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our tax operations, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and developing effective tax strategies to support our financial objectives.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the preparation and review of federal and state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S-Corps, and HNWI.
2. Manage the tax provision process and ensure timely, accurate completion of quarterly and annual tax provision calculations.
3. Provide tax planning and consulting to our management team, advising on the tax impact of various corporate strategies.
4. Collaborate with auditors and manage the audit process.
5. Research and analyze changes in tax regulation and legislation to determine the impact on the organization.
6. Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.
7. Manage members of the tax team as they prepare components of the company's US federal income tax return and state tax returns.
8. Ensure the company complies with all IRS regulations and requirements.
Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree in Taxation is highly desirable.
2. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
3. A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in public accounting or a similar role in public accounting
4. Extensive experience with tax planning, compliance, and preparation for 1120s, Partnerships, S-Corps, HNWI, Individual Tax, and Pass-Through entities.
5. Strong knowledge of US GAAP, tax codes, regulations, and laws.
6. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
7. Strong leadership and team management skills.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax information clearly and concisely.
9. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
