Are you a seasoned tax professional seeking an exciting opportunity to lead and manage a team in the fast-paced world of finance? As a Permanent Tax Manager, you will be at the forefront of our tax operations, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations while also identifying opportunities for tax optimization. This position is a pivotal role within our organization, providing you with the opportunity to utilize your expertise, leadership skills, and strategic thinking to make a significant impact.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Tax Manager, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Overseeing all tax operations, ensuring full compliance with local, state, federal, and international tax laws and regulations.
2. Developing and implementing tax strategies to optimize tax liabilities and ensure tax efficiency.
3. Leading and managing a team of tax professionals, providing guidance, training, and mentorship.
4. Conducting thorough tax risk assessments, identifying potential areas of risk and implementing mitigation strategies.
5. Collaborating with other departments to develop and implement tax planning strategies.
6. Preparing and reviewing complex tax returns and reports.
7. Keeping up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations and ensuring that the organization is informed of these changes.
8. Liaising with tax authorities and external auditors, representing the organization in tax audits and disputes.
9. Providing expert tax advice to senior management, supporting strategic decision-making.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Tax Manager role will possess the following qualifications:
1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A master's degree or higher is preferred.
2. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management or a related role, preferably within the finance industry.
4. In-depth knowledge of local, state, federal, and international tax laws and regulations.
5. Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound decisions.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
8. High level of integrity and professionalism, with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
9. Proficiency in tax software and other relevant computer applications.
10. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, while maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
