Responsibilities:
Client Engagement
- Cultivate enduring client relationships by delivering top-tier service, particularly in addressing intricate tax concerns
- Work closely with clients and colleagues to discern opportunities and hurdles within their tax situations
- Provide expert guidance on financial and tax intricacies
- Maintain seamless coordination with team members for effective client management
- Spearhead the preparation of tax returns encompassing individual, business, and estate filings
- Guarantee the accuracy, completeness, and timely submission of tax documents
- Uphold strict compliance with tax laws and regulations
- Formulate tax strategies to optimize client financial objectives
- Stay abreast of tax law changes through continuous research
- Offer clear verbal and written insights on tax matters to both colleagues and clients
- Drive process evaluation, design, and implementation, including assessment and adoption of new technologies
- Provide mentorship and guidance to team members to nurture their professional advancement
- Contribute to recruitment, training, and integration of new team members
- Foster a collaborative and growth-centric workplace culture
- Introduce innovative ideas and opportunities to enhance team performance
- Collaborate on enhancing processes, technology integration, service expansions, and other pivotal firm initiatives
- Contribute to the design, testing, evaluation, and adoption of new processes and technologies
Qualifications:
- CPA or EA certification required
- 4 + years of accounting experience, with a preference for tax or financial accounting services
- Comprehensive understanding of U.S. Federal and State tax laws and regulations
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel
- Mastery of Microsoft Business Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Comfortability with leveraging technology for operational excellence
