We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Manager to join our dynamic finance team. This is a permanent position that will play a critical role in managing and coordinating tax compliance, planning, and advisory services for our firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate tax planning and compliance, with a proven track record of managing a diverse portfolio of clients and tax issues. This position will require a high level of technical tax expertise, along with excellent project management and team leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
As a Tax Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Managing and overseeing the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns for our firm and clients.
2. Developing and implementing strategic tax planning initiatives to minimize tax liabilities and optimize tax savings.
3. Providing expert tax advisory services to senior management, including the interpretation and implications of tax laws and regulations.
4. Conducting thorough research and analysis of complex tax issues, and presenting findings and recommendations to management.
5. Coordinating with external auditors and tax authorities on tax audits and inquiries.
6. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current tax laws and regulations, and ensuring our firm's compliance with all applicable tax requirements.
7. Leading and mentoring a team of tax professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree in Taxation or a CPA certification is highly preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting, with at least 3 years in a tax management role.
3. Extensive experience in corporate tax planning and compliance, including federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
4. Strong knowledge of tax accounting principles and procedures, including tax return preparation and tax advisory services.
5. Exceptional project management and team leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax issues and provide effective solutions.
7. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex tax information in a clear and understandable manner.
