What You'll Be Doing:
As a Tax Manager with 3-5+ years of experience in Public Accounting, you will:
- Review and manage tax returns, extensions, and tax planning calculations for various entity types, with a focus on Individual/Family clients
- Review financial statements, perform accounting and adjusting entries, bank reconciliations, and client bookkeeping
- Prepare and review complex tax planning projections for individuals and corporations
- Manage client deliverables and due dates
- Conduct tax research and prepare memoranda outlining findings
- Respond to IRS and state agency audits, inquiries, and tax notices
- Communicate directly with clients, colleagues, management, and tax authorities
- Lead departmental knowledge in software, processes, and workflows
What You Need:
- 4-10+ years of relevant experience
- Expertise in individual tax compliance and planning (experience with CS Suite and UltraTax a plus)
- Proficiency in tax research (RIA)
- Experience with gift, estate, and trust returns is advantageous
- Familiarity with partnership tax is a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team-player mentality
- Forward-thinking attitude with a desire for continuous improvement and growth
- Ability to train, mentor, and develop staff
