Job Details
We are on the hunt for a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Tax Manager specializing in Real Estate. This is an outstanding opportunity for a tax professional with real estate experience to take on a high-impact role within our dynamic finance team. The position is remote, allowing you to work from any location while collaborating with a team of professionals dedicated to providing top-notch financial services.
Responsibilities
1. Overseeing the preparation and review of federal and state income tax returns and ensuring their accuracy and compliance with tax laws.
2. Developing and implementing strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.
3. Managing members of the tax team as they prepare components of the company's US federal income tax return and state tax returns.
4. Conducting complex tax research and preparing documentation for tax positions.
5. Collaborating with internal and external auditors during financial and tax audits.
6. Reviewing current and deferred tax provision, ensuring accurate reporting and identification of potential issues.
7. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current tax practices and changes in tax law.
8. Providing guidance and support to the operational and finance teams on tax-related matters.
Qualifications
1. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required.
2. A minimum of 4+ years of progressive experience in public accounting or a combination of public accounting and corporate tax department experience.
3. Extensive experience in real estate tax laws and regulations and working with real estate clients.
4. Proven experience as a tax manager or similar role.
5. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
6. Strong tax accounting skills with proficiency in US GAAP and tax compliance.
7. Exceptional client service along with the ability to develop excellent client relationships.
8. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
9. Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills.
10. Proficient in tax software and technology.
