We are seeking a seasoned Tax Manager to join our dynamic team in the engineering industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing our company's tax reporting, tax compliance, and corporate tax functions. This is a permanent position that requires a high level of analytical skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations. The Tax Manager will work closely with our financial team and will play a critical role in the financial success of our company. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage the company's tax plans and policies to ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
2. Prepare and review tax returns, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws.
3. Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.
4. Manage members of the tax team as they prepare components of the company's US federal income tax return and state tax returns.
5. Conduct complex tax research and prepare tax research memos as needed.
6. Manage and facilitate IRS income tax audits: preparing responses, creating schedules, etc.
7. Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management and the tax team and create strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislation.
8. Provide support with various internal audits and special tax-related projects.
9. Review tax returns and quarterly/yearly tax projections.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree in Taxation or a CPA certification is highly desirable.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax manager or public accountant role.
3. Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance and procedures for corporations.
4. Familiarity with U.S. federal, state, and local reporting requirements.
5. Strong proficiency in tax compliance, tax planning, tax analysis, and tax research.
6. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
7. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
8. Strong analytical abilities, detail-oriented, and the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
9. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
10. Strong understanding of tax code and technical aspects of tax preparation and compliance.
