Description
We are in search of a Tax Manager - Public to join our team located in Camas, Washington. The primary function of this role is within the industry of tax and audit assurance. The selected candidate will work on-site but with a degree of flexibility. This position is an exciting opportunity for growth and development.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the processing of customer credit applications to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Uphold and maintain accurate customer credit records in accordance with industry standards.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Monitor customer accounts regularly and take necessary action based on account status.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Manage monthly end-close procedures for customer accounts.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and implement strategies for growth.
- Use specialized knowledge to stay ahead of competitors in the industry.
- Handle additional duties as necessary to support the growth and success of the team.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $175,000

Requirements - Possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Must have a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification
- Proven experience as a Tax Manager in a public setting
- Strong knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns
- Good at meeting deadlines and solving problems
- Exceptional client service along with the ability to develop excellent client relationships
- Strong leadership and personnel management skills
- Analytical skills with detail orientation
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and accounting software
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Proficient in month end close processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance and procedures for corporations
- Familiarity with U.S. federal, state, and local reporting requirements
- Strong experience with a variety of tax operations and ability to drive process improvements
- Strong ability to utilize project management and accounting best practices to organize and prioritize tasks
- Exceptional negotiation skills with the ability to resolve issues and address complaints.
